We are aware that a shoe cannot save the world, but we are committed to an eco-awareness process aimed at having a lower impact on the environment each season in terms of consumption and emissions.
Hence HYBRO, a line created with an eye to the present and one to the future, combining different production techniques and less polluting processes.
In the production of HYBRO we have chosen natural materials, such as bio-based leather obtained from apple fibres (from the cores and peel) or polyols derived from sugar cane, which combine with post consumer recycled materials such as PET (plastic bottles, with which we produce the laces) or with the garments we use to give life to new fabrics.
THE HYBRID WAY
More than 24 billion pairs were produced worldwide in 2019 (World Footwear Year Book, 2019). If we think that each pair emits 12 Kg of CO2 for synthetic shoes and 18 Kg of CO2 for leather shoes, we can understand the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere.
Bio-based shoes emit on average only 8 Kg of CO2, between materials and reduced production cycles.
